Ramayana Advance Booking: Ranbir Kapoor's Film Nears ₹10 Crore Mark Ahead of Release

Ramayana Advance Booking: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash's upcoming mythological drama Ramayana is witnessing growing interest ahead of its theatrical release on November 5, 2026. The film has collected ₹8.27 crore in gross advance bookings, bringing it closer to the ₹10 crore milestone before its release, according to figures reported by industry tracker Sacnilk on Friday, October 23, at 10 am. The film has reportedly sold more than 1.47 lakh tickets across 3,964 shows. With advance sales continuing across multiple language versions, the Nitesh Tiwari directorial is building anticipation among audiences, particularly in Hindi-speaking markets. The advance booking figures offer an early indication of audience interest, although the film's actual box office performance will become clearer after its theatrical release.

Ramayana Advance Booking: Hindi Version Leads the Race

The Hindi version is currently contributing the largest share of Ramayana's advance booking revenue. According to the reported figures, the Hindi version has generated ₹7.48 crore in gross advance sales, making it the dominant language edition so far. The film is also attracting interest in southern markets, with bookings reported for its Telugu and Kannada versions. The Telugu version has earned ₹21.11 lakh in advance bookings, accounting for approximately 3% of the reported sales. Meanwhile, the Kannada version has recorded ₹57.69 lakh. The growing interest across different language markets could help the film reach a wider audience. However, the Hindi version remains the primary contributor to its advance booking total at this stage.

Delhi-NCR Records Strong Growth in Advance Sales

Among individual regions, Delhi-NCR has reportedly registered the strongest growth in advance bookings, with a 13% increase compared with the previous day. The region has generated more than ₹2 crore in advance collections, placing it ahead of other major centres in the reported figures. Mumbai ranks second, with advance bookings worth ₹1.49 crore. Other cities contributing to the film's advance sales include Hyderabad, which has recorded ₹47 lakh, Bengaluru with ₹44.97 lakh, and Pune with ₹42.6 lakh. At the regional level, Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, Gujarat and Telangana make up the top five markets for Ramayana advance bookings. The figures suggest that demand is spread across several major territories rather than being concentrated in a single market. The coming days will show whether this momentum continues as the release date approaches.

Night Shows Lead Ramayana Advance Bookings

Show timings also provide an interesting picture of audience demand. According to the reported data, night shows have generated ₹2.77 crore in advance bookings, making them the leading category so far. Morning shows have collected ₹2.45 crore, indicating considerable interest in early screenings as well. The preference for night shows may reflect audiences planning to watch the film after work or other daily commitments. However, booking patterns can change as more theatres open advance sales and additional showtimes become available. With the release date approaching, further ticket sales could push the film closer to the ₹10 crore mark.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash Lead the Cast

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil and Rakul Preet Singh. The film brings one of India's most widely known mythological narratives to the big screen, with a production designed to appeal to audiences in India and overseas. Recently, Yash urged fans to approach the film with an open mind rather than focusing on minor flaws in its visual effects or other technical elements. He also spoke about the financial investment and creative effort involved in making the film for a global audience. The project has generated considerable attention because of its cast, scale and interpretation of the epic.

Ramayana Part Two Set for 2027

The Ramayana story is planned across two parts, with the second instalment scheduled to arrive in theatres in 2027. For now, the immediate focus remains on the first film's advance booking performance ahead of its November 5 release. With ₹8.27 crore in reported gross advance sales and more than 1.47 lakh tickets sold as of October 23 at 10 am, the film is approaching an important pre-release milestone. Whether it crosses ₹10 crore before opening day will depend on ticket sales in the remaining days. Its opening-day collections and audience response will ultimately determine how strongly the mythological drama begins its box office journey.
