New poster shows Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita on Ganesh Chaturthi

Ramayana New Poster: During Ganesh Chaturthi, the makers of the movie Ramayana have come up with a new poster, where Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi that of Sita. In the poster, one can see that Lord Rama delicately places a flower in Sita's hair amidst a serene and beautiful background. The poster brings out the relationship between Rama and Sita in an elegant manner.

Ramayana has already sparked much curiosity amongst people owing to the big scale production, star cast and contemporary depiction of the epic. Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, the other actors who have acted in the movie are Sunny Deol, as Hanuman, Yash, as Ravana and Ravi Dubey.

The trailer has presented many of the characters in the epic. Yash, who plays the character of Ravana, is depicted hiding his face with a shawl. He has been portrayed as an imposing ruler of the three worlds. After this, comes Rama, who will have to combat Ravana and his cruelties.

The trailer also includes Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha and Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva, the demon prince and Shurpanakha’s husband. Sunny Deol, who acts as Hanuman, is one of the key characters whose role has not been shown extensively in the trailer.

The movie offers a visual feast with plenty of CGI and VFX. This film has rekindled the age-old tale of Ramayana with a new batch of actors portraying mythological characters. Renowned actor Arun Govil, popular for his portrayal as Rama in the classic Indian TV series Ramayan, will be playing King Dasharatha, the father of Rama.

Ramayana Budget

"Ramayana" has been budgeted at a whopping cost of about Rs 4000 crore for both the movies. Namit Malhotra, the producer of the film, has referred to the film as one of the most ambitious film projects in history. In addition to this, the producer has mentioned that his goal is to produce the film globally with efficiency.

The film will hit theaters in two parts. The first part is set for release internationally in October 2026, before the Diwali festival, while the second part is slated for Diwali 2027.

Nitesh Tiwari directs "Ramayana," which is one of the most highly anticipated Indian films due to the audience’s interest in seeing how the epic tale has been portrayed with its new cast, production scale, and visuals.
